How Mitch Trubisky, Steelers help Bears get No. 1 selection in 2024

An earlier version of this article said that the Bears would get the first overall choice in the 2024 draft thanks to Mitch Trubisky and the Steelers.

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler deserves a huge "thank you.

The Bears, who are vying with the Carolina Panthers for the No. 1 overall draft selection in 2024, were greatly affected by the Pittsburgh Steelers' most recent two games against the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals.

Despite starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky in place of Kenny Pickett for the last two weeks due to Pickett's injury, the Steelers lost consecutive games to two of the league's weakest teams

As a result, the Patriots and Cardinals are now two games ahead of the 1-11 Panthers in the standings.

The Bears' chances of snagging the first overall selection will improve dramatically with that two-game lead.

Trubisky threw for 307 yards and two scores on 63.5% passing in the two contests.

As one would expect, Chicago Bears supporters have taken advantage of the situation to express their gratitude to Trubisky.
